SEO Rankings

It's not about how your web site is ranking, it's about how your web site is performing.

With Google’s new Caffeine Index, your seo rankings will fluctuate more often than ever!  Why? Because the new Google Caffeine index is now searching and indexing web sites faster and more often.

This means that you will have to optimize that site of yours more often, and blog more frequently as well. Which also means that you will find yourself saying “Tap …Tap …Can You See Me Now? …GOOD!” A LOT MORE OFTEN.

Your search engine rankings will constantly be rising and falling based on several factors, including your competitors’ web sites and how well and how often your web site is optimized and updated in comparison to theirs.

Don’t get your hopes up when your rankings reach top placement on search engines because that will change quite soon ... for the good or for the bad, but they will change.

Did you know that if you search for your own web site with your keywords on a search engine, the results that are displayed to you will be different than the results for Joe Doe down the street? Do you know why? Because Google “knows”. With Google’s search intelligence they keep track of what you search for most often and therefore Google will display results from a search that are most relevant to you based on your searches.

I like to tell my clients to try not to get too caught up with “how is my web site ranking” because results displayed for you, will most definitely be different for results displayed for someone else.

The most important factor is …how is your web site performing for you? Is your web site generating the traffic, leads and sales that you need it to?

SEO is more about performance and less about rankings. With an effective tool to measure the performance of your web site will be able to adjust your web site to perform better as time goes on.
